Chris Benniston: Club President 1997 & 2005, Club Monthly Outings co-chair 2003.

Appeared in the June 2004 issue of the OTTS newsletter.

Chris started detecting in 1996 and joined OTTS a short time later.  Chris has served on the board in the past and is once again a valued board member.  He assists Tom Smith in looking for good areas to hold club outings.  He has proved his efficiency with a metal detector and always enters some excellent recoveries in the Find Of The Month competition.

He has been to England with the Jimmy Sierra group and plans to go again this year.
His best finds are 1376 Gold Noble in England, ( In the museum over there) and an 1882-CC $5 gold coin.

Chris has been married 18 years, has two kids, and owns two shoe stores; one carries many imported women's shoes and is managed by his wife, Chris has a shoe repair business, but finds the time to pursue his love of detecting as often as possible.
