Tom Smith: Seargent at Arms 2004, Club Monthly Outings Chair 2003 & 2004, FOTM Co-Chair 2005.

Appeared in the June 2004 issue of the OTTS newsletter.

Tom is our Sergeant At Arms, and also our Outing Chairman.  With the assistance of Chris Benniston, he has spent many hours looking for good places to hold our monthly club outings.

Tom has been detecting since 1998, joined OTTS a short time later, and is one of our most skillful detector operators.

He has been fortunate in being able to travel to several nearby states, and recovered some excellent finds that always receive many votes at the finds table every month.

Tom says his best find is an 1881 $5 gold coin. Tom works for VOC Technologies as an analytical chemist.  He is not married, and his free time is devoted to detecting, both near and far.
