September's Club Member Outing by Tom Smith

The June outing was at Shute Park in Hillsboro. It was a gorgeous morning to be out detecting and a few nice finds were made.

Jack Hipp found a nice 1954-D Franklin Half-Dollar and a sterling religious medallion. Mike Young, Bill Baker, and Todd Mullican each found a Mercury dime and Jim Cornwell found a silver Roosevelt dime. Mike Maxon found a nice 1937 Washington Quarter and Tim Towsley found a 1916-S Buffalo nickel. I found two Indian Head pennies, 1900 and 1902.

In addition to the top 5 in points getting Washington Quarters, a Walking Liberty Half-Dollar, 1859 Seated Liberty Half-Dime, and 2 Standing Liberty Quarters were given to the four finishers with the least points. Those that were not at either end of the standings, received Mercury dimes. Bill Baker won the Silver dollar for the membership attendance drawing.
