October's Club Member Outing by Bill Baker

We had a fun time at the last club hunt, which was at Brentwood Park and Lane school in SE Portland. To our dismay, our leader Tom Smith was in the hospital with appendicitis so Dick and I took over the duties. It was a wet day but we found some neat stuff. Todd Mullican found 2 nice silver rings and a rosey. Dick Gaboury got a merc, Mike Young got 2 mercs, Jack Hipp found 2 mercs and a war nickel. Bob Kosto found a gold ring. Doyle Thibert found a gold chain with a pendant. Bill Park found a silver ring, I found a walking half and a rosey. There were lots of wheaties found and quite a bit of change, etc. Dick Gaboury donated 2 walking halves for the closest mystery $ amount and 4 barber dimes to the 4 lowest point scores. Membership drawing winner was Jim Siel; M&M jar guesses were won by Jim Cornwell guessed 473 and Monte Berry guessed 437. There were 462 M&M's in the jar.
